I'm having problems getting the magnetic keys to work
If you are having issues getting the magnetic keys to open your cupboard / drawers there are some checks we advise and if these do not help please email support@aycorn.com and we will happily help you identify the solution.
- If you press the magnet up against a non-installed lock do they move the hook back and forth at all? The locks come pre-set to 'always open' but once they are clicked into the 'closed' setting this will identify if there is a general magnet issue.
- what orientation are the locks installed in? Is the hook pointing sideways, upwards or downwards? The locks work best in the sideways or upwards pointing direction. If the hook is pointing downwards this can affect how much strength the magnetic keys can have on moving the hook.
- are you removing the magnetic key from its base holder (they rotate out) or using it as it is? The keys do still open doors in the holder but the magnetic reach is greater if removed.
I'm having problems with the door / drawer not opening
Assuming this is the case the next thing we recommend is to put the magnet against the door and give the door a press to see if this helps give the hook a bit more clearance space to move.
The easiest way to achieve this is to grab a hairdryer and blow some warm air down the gaps of the door near where the lock is installed. This hot air will begin to soften the adhesive and make it easier for you to pull the lock free from where it has been stuck. If at first this does not work, just add more warm air and eventually it will happen.
How do I install the locks on 'in frame' cupboards?
If it’s just the door closing inside the frame you can measure the thickness of the door and install the catch that exact same distance inside the frame and when the door closes the lock should be in the right position.
Unfortunately if you don’t have a flat top surface, or a door which closes against a shelf there is no space for the catch to install and sadly they won’t work.
What are the dimensions of the locks?
Catch: 38 x 34mm
The product has an installation tool which will help you place the lock / catch in the correct place. This is slightly wider than the lock itself so requires 44mm space of clearance between the runner rail and the top of the frame if you are checking they will fit on a set of sliding drawers?

Corner Protectors FAQ
What are the dimensions of the corner protectors?
The full outer dimensions of the corner protectors are:
42mm wide
22mm tall
When installed the transparent edges outlie from the table:
10mm sideways
16mm downwards

Will the corner protectors work on rounded edges?
Unfortunately the corner protectors need a 90' angle edge to install correctly.
They also will not install on bevelled or angled edges.
